Summer in San Francisco

San Francisco is a city that loves food, and celebrates its love at food festivals.  The first week of August was a celebration of our chefs at SF Chefs at Union Square, and this past weekend was a gathering of the food entrepreneurs of the Bay Area at La Cocina's 4th Annual Street Food Festival.

We're inspired by these entrepreneurs, and follow in their footsteps.  On August 12, we sampled the Buckwheat Cookies in front of Bi Rite Market, on a sunny Sunday afternoon.  Hundreds stopped by our booth to taste and connect on their way to spend a leisurely afternoon at Dolores Park, do their shopping at Bi Rite Market, or lunch at Tartine Bakery.  This is why we love our community - people are curious, open, and encouraging.  We thank our community, and of course Bi Rite Market, for giving us the chance to share our love.  By the way, be sure to read Bi Rite's blog on Sunbud Bakery - a look at how we got to where we are today.  Our next sampling will be in early September at Mulberry's in Piedmont.  Enjoy the rest of your summer!
